The former president's Granddaughter Seeks Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Before Professional Golf Debut
The rising star maintains impressive online audience
The young golfer will have plenty of prominent backers as she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is connected to Donald Trump, received a special exemption to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates several courses worldwide and often plays against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa practically advised me to go out there and have fun," she added.
"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
While still amateur, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions recently and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
But she can get advice from golf legend, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He represents the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's an even better individual. He advised me to go out there, have fun, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of top competitors in the sport at the Annika, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to wider groups, specifically reaching the next generation.
Kai maintains substantial online presence and has started an exclusive apparel and wellness company.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
