Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an investigation into allegations of questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
To date, he has released more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
